Charlton

Known as “Foreign Intrigues” for its first fifteen issues, this title ran on and off for almost thirty years. During the best of those times, it presented unusual tales of battle and bravery, from the beaches of Tarawa Atoll to the jungles of Viet Nam.

Started in the late 1950s, this series went on hiatus in 1966. Unfortunately, when it reappeared, it was during a time when Charlton was relying solely on reprint material. Its latter run included some good stories, but nothing readers hadn’t (literally) seen before. The series eventually concluded with issue #89 in 1984.
