Wisp

™ and ©1999 Oktomica Entertainment

A scientist and a sorcerer—two cranky old farts who mix like oil and water—have managed to pool their talents to create a new technology called necronetics to help guard and defend against forces invading the Earth from other dimensions. Together, they have also managed to form the Witchaven Institute—a secret society of like professionals whose purpose is to catalog and observe these dimensions. The culmination of all their work in necronetics is the WISP entity—a being of flesh, hardware and software that champions their cause with fantastic powers born of both science and magic!

Wisp is a one-issue wonder—a comic book seemingly built “backwards” with a full color interior and a nearly black-and-white cover. Featuring an interesting concept and an interesting cast, it is even more interesting that this title didn’t take off.
