This black and white graphic novel from Marc Bryant, Shepherd Hendrix (The Big Book of Grimm), and Image Comics is an interesting spin on the “buddy movie” concept: because she’s a fan, Jetta Helm, a burned-out assassin questioning her choice of vocation, defaults on a contract to kill washed-up, has-been rock star Correy Stinson. Her act brings the unlikely duo into conflict with the record label that wants Stinson dead and sets them on a cross-country run from hillbilly hitman Lonsome Roscoe. But the real problem between them is chemistry—will Jetta and Stinson kill each other before Roscoe gets his chance?
