Zig Zag

Beautiful, flexible art that changes palettes and styles wider than you’d believe from one auteur pretty much characterizes the humor in this book, which is both good and wacky. Or perhaps wacky is a bit misleading, since the humor is also pliable. The pages are pretty info-dense, packing in 15–20 panels at a time, but it’s a good thing that permits writer/artist J. Chris Campbell to make with the funny. It’s also among those rare humor books that are funny and entertaining enough to make one laugh out loud. So cheers to ZigZag, and its array of cranky bugs, hapless robots, and heart-attack prone sitcom stars.
