Millennium Edition: House of Mystery

    (DC, 2000)
™ and ©2000 DC Comics

To celebrate the end of one millennium and the beginning of another, DC Comics published a series of Millennium Editions that reprinted significant comic books from the Golden, Silver, Bronze, and Modern Ages of Comics.

Inspired by the success of M.C. Gaines’ E.C. line of horror comics—including Tales from the Crypt and Vault of Horror—DC Comics introduced House of Mystery. It was an anthology title that regularly featured the artwork of such comics industry stalwarts as Curt Swan (Superman, World’s Finest Comics), Win Mortimer (Adventure Comics, X-Men), and Bob Brown (Superboy, Daredevil). This comic paved the way for sister mystery titles Tales of the Unexpected and House of Secrets; and became the longest-running horror title in comics history.
