For many readers, current comics may seem an endless array of impossibly muscle-bound heroes and villains, each with a power that could easily destroy a city, or wielding a gun bigger than most cars. Some would say the trend has slowly moved towards simply depicting increasing levels of violence, and away from the simpler, but perhaps more fun, stories where good always triumphed over evil.

Big Bang Comics presents stories and characters depicted in the tradition of comicdom’s Golden and Silver Ages. The villains are indeed nefarious, but ultimately no match for the idealistic heroes. But don’t worry, the suspense is still there; after all, even the best super-hero can be caught by surprise.

Reviving a short-lived series by Caliber, Image Comics presents the adventures of such great heroes as Mighty Man, the Sphinx, the Knight Watchman, and many others.
