The Optimist, Psycho Chick, Citizen Angst One day, the sky opened up and all sorts of super-powered heroes fell from a jagged hole in space. Most died instantly, but a few passed on their powers to the people of this world. Take Psycho Chick: a typical shy teenager with a huge crush on her boyfriend. Add super-powers beyond description and a realization that boys only want one thing, and you end up with a girl that makes Steven King’s Carrie look well-balanced.

Russ Kazmierczak Jr. came up with an interesting universe and focuses on some of the most interesting characters in it. Brent Otey’s art flows with the story.
