Colossal Show
(Gold Key, 1969)
™ and © Western Publishing Company, Inc.
Total Television Productions produced a number of well-known cartoons such as King Leonardo, Underdog, Tennessee Tuxedo and Commander McBragg. By the late 60s, after a number of successes, their fortunes started to dive with the singing duo of The Beagles. Though that musical duo did make it briefly to the television screen, TTV’s next project never made it passed the planning stages and this comic book. TTV was eventually sold (now owned by Classic Media) and The Colossal Show idea became the basis for the similar but not identical Roman Holidays series from Hanna-Barbera. This comic book is the only known surviving record of this aborted series.
