Yet another of the 50-plus Harvey titles that have featured a certain “poor little rich boy” over the decades, the giant-sized Richie Rich Diamonds (where, the cover promises, “every story is a gem!”) features both new and reprinted tales of Richie Rich and his pals. Unlike many of the Richie Rich titles, which tended to feature a handful of self-contained 5-and 6-page stories, the giant-sized length of Richie Rich Diamonds did allow editors to run more “novel-length” stories that stretched out chapter by chapter throughout the issue. Thus Richie was able to embark on grander, longer adventures, giving plenty of room to showcase his latest inventions and his vast riches. All the Richie Rich mainstays put in regular appearances here, including Cadbury the butler, Richie’s girlfriend Gloria, mean cousin Reggie, Dollar the Dog, Little Dot and others.
