Just Imagine Stan Lee With Walter Simonson Creating Sandman

    (DC, 2002)
™ and ©2002 DC Comics

Stranded in space with no hope of rescue, astronaut Larry Wilton expects to die. Instead, he finds himself miraculously transported to a magical world he thought only existed in his childhood fantasies. There, with the aid of the beautiful Melana, Larry embraces his destiny as the Sandman, Lord of the Dreamworld. But even as he struggles against demonic foes on the astral plane, Larry’s earthly form lies helpless against the threat of the enigmatic Reverend Darrk and his Church of Eternal Empowerment.

The “Just Imagine…” series teams long-time Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee with various artists, to recreate DC’s most popular characters using only their names as a starting point. Although each book, featuring Lee’s versions of characters such as Catwoman, Robin, Superman, Shazam, and Aquaman, stands alone, they are loosely tied together in a story-arc that culminates in Just Imagine Stan Lee With John Cassaday Creating Crisis.
