Many comic book companies will put out small, giveaway editions in order to draw readers into a new series. Dark Horse Comics’ horror anthology, The Dark Horse Book of Hauntings, is no exception. Along with various ads and “coming soon” blurbs, here we have Evan Dorkin’s fantastic story called “Stray” along with Jill Thompson’s art.

When dogs are in trouble they summon the wise one. But can even the wise one explain why poor Jack’s fancy new dog house is haunted?
