Buried Treasure (2nd Series)

    (Caliber, 1991)
™ and © Caliber Comics

Buried Treasure from Caliber continues the title started by Pure Imagination. It features black and white reproductions of stories by Frank Frazetta and Al Williamson from Heroic Comics originally published in the 1950s. The stories are short, true-life episodes of unselfish heroism on the battlefield. The war stories are set in Korea owing to the time period when they were originally published. Other stories are accounts of feats of heroism at the work place or at home

The narratives are straightforward depictions of action with no artificial suspense or cliffhangers. Indeed many of the heroes in these stories have been awarded medals posthumously. The real draw of this title is the artwork of these past masters.
