In the futuristic metropolis Mega-City One, crime has gotten so bad that radical steps have been taken to streamline the process of law enforcement. The police there are known as “judges.” It would be more accurate to call them, “judges, juries, and executioners.” If you are deemed to have done something in violation of the law, you are simply…dealt with. Despite these Draconian measures, violent crime in Mega-City One is completely out of control. Armed thugs commit brutal and senseless crimes on an almost continual basis, and no citizen is ever safe.

Judge Dredd is out to change all that. With a penchant for violence that inspired Robocop, and a taste for law and order that makes Joe Friday look like a bleeding-heart liberal, Judge Dredd is the new sheriff in town—and you’d better not forget it.
