Superman & Bugs Bunny

    (DC, 2000)
™ and ©2000 DC Comics

Okay, let’s be clear: it’s not just Superman and Bugs Bunny; it’s the whole Justice League of America and the entire Looney Tunes gang! And the evil machinations of the maniacal Toyman and mischievous meanderings of Mr. Mxyzptlk bring them together in this four-issue limited series from Mark Evanier (DNAgents) and Joe Staton (All-Star Comics). Of course, the ultimate threat is the possible merging of the DC Universe and the Looney-verse, which would result in the likes of Porky Pig, Tweety, and Foghorn Leghorn facing such real-world evils as “taxes and icky diseases…cwooked powiticians…and—worst of all—fried chicken take-out stands.” Incidentally, the fourth installment bears the inspired title “Cwisis on Infinite Earths.” There’s lots of fun to be had here, especially if you’re the sort of fan who doesn’t take their comics too seriously. Lighten, I say, lighten up, son!
