Flippity and Flop
(DC, 1951-1960)
™ and © DC Comics
There was a time when DC had a number of funny animal comic books in their roster and Flippity and Flop was one of them. Similar to Tweety and Sylvester, the series starred Flop the cat as he endlessly pursued Flippity the bird. Sheldon Mayer, known for other popular DC series such as Sugar and Spike, provided the artwork in most cases. Many of these stories were reprinted later (along with a number of other DC funny animal material) in the Best of DC Digest issues that featured Funny Stuff.
