Tor 3-D

    (Eclipse, 1986-1987)
™ and ©1986 Joe Kubert

Tor, a prehistoric man who fought for the weak and the oppressed in a savage, primordial world, first appeared in 1953 in St. John Publishing’s One Million Years Ago #1, which became a 3-D book entitled simply Tor with #2. This two-issue series from Eclipse Comics reprints the first two issues’ worth of Tor stories in 3-D and features the gorgeously detailed artwork of the legendary Joe Kubert (Hawkman, Sgt. Rock, Tarzan), who provides new covers for the project. Tor has also been published by DC Comics in the 1970s, and Marvel Comics in the 1990s, and each of those endeavors has seen Kubert’s return to the character.
