This 1995 title follows up on the success of the Union mini-series. Its first issue finds Ohmen (Union) and his girlfriend, Jill Monroe, in New York. Jill is having a not entirely successful time working as a waitress while trying to support both her artistic ambitions and her unemployed, super-hero boyfriend. Meanwhile, Ohmen is seeking StormWatch’s aid in establishing a civilian identity, proving that even one mighty enough to go head-to-head with Supreme can be cowed by the lack of a Social Security card. Luckily, he is offered a “stringer” job with that team, giving him enough income to tide him over.

Things were looking up indeed, until his best friend Serren appeared over the city battling the alien called Crusader. Ohmen joined the battle, but began to suspect someone else was manipulating events. When Serren was killed in the struggle, Ohmen was left to try and discover whose machinations had killed his best friend.
