Gentle Ben

Long before he became the perennial supporting actor in his brother Ron’s feature films, Clint Howard made a name for himself by starring in this 1967-1969 series as young Mark Wedloe and his pet bear named Ben. Dennis Weaver (McCloud) played his father, a game warden in the Florida Everglades. Following a similar format to other animal adventure shows such as Lassie and Flipper, Gentle Ben was always good family fun that always tried to teach a lesson or moral or have Ben save the day before the hour was out.
