Woron’s Worlds

Steven Woron is unquestionably one of the finest illustrators of female fantasy art. This three-part series serves as a portfolio of his work from 1983’s “Unseen Starlight” to the current day. The subjects are ravishing women, ranging from the classically beautiful Guinevere to the deadly allure of the Vampress. That the illustrations are rendered in black-and-white does nothing to diminish their elegance or beauty (indeed, the color cover of issue #1 is among the weakest of the pieces).

In addition to the portfolio, Woron’s Worlds includes checklists of his work, as well as a decidedly weird comic feature“Grunge Bunny,” created by Fred Rawles and edited “against his better judgment” by Woron.
