This black-and-white title from writer/artist C.S. Morse uses a variety of art styles to tell a thematic story of life and mysticism. Told in a series of four-issue story arcs, the tale spans the gamut from science fiction (the first arc takes place in a world populated by aliens and robots) to a film noir-ish past (the second arc is set on Earth in 1938), all adding to a greater overall story. Unifying these disparate settings is a collection of realistically scripted characters that grab the attention and raise questions more philosophical than one normally finds in a staple-bound book.
