The Devil’s Angel

    (Eros, 1995)
™ and ©1995 Frank Thorne

The adults only, XXX-rating stamped on the cover of all Eros Comix offerings brings to mind images of adult pornography devoid of any meaningful plot. But in the case of The Devil’s Angel, the adult subject matter actually plays second fiddle to a supernatural tale of apocalyptic proportions.

Life on the streets is hard for a young prostitute, especially when she’s carrying the anti-Christ. Such is the story for the title’s nameless heroine. Add to this the fact that she must contend with another nameless figure intent on preventing the end of days, so intent, in fact, that he is willing to murder all individuals that even resemble the heroine. What you have is a tale wrapped in what can only be described as perverse mythology.

Sex, action and a hint of the supernatural make up The Devil’s Angel. But, then again, that very phrase can be used to describe most of the Eros Comix stable.
