Rune/Silver Surfer

Rune™ and ©1995 Malibu Comics Entertainment, Inc. Silver Surfer™ and ©1995 Marvel Entertainment Group, Inc.

The Rune/Silver Surfer one-shot picks up after the Godwheel mini-series and literally acts as a bridge between Malibu’s Ultraverse and the Marvel Universe.

The Godwheel saga took place in the far-off realm of Vahdala, where heroes from the Ultraverse and the Marvel Universe had joined forces to defeat the god Loki. Just as Thor prepared to use the mystic hammer Mjolner to return home, the vampire Rune attempted to steal away Thor’s life energy. Thor threw off the attack, but unwittingly cast Rune into the Marvel Universe. There, it was only a matter of time before Rune was drawn to the all-powerful Infinity Gems. These stones controlled the primal facets of the universe, from time and space to reality itself. Through uncanny luck, Rune managed to wrest them away from Warlock and the Infinity Watch. With the fate of the universe hanging in the balance, it’s now up to the Silver Surfer to stop him.
