Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe

This alternate-universe one-shot poses an interesting question: “What if the Punisher hunted super-heroes with the same ferocity that he hunts criminals?”

The chilling story began when Frank Castle’s family was killed by the crossfire as the X-Men and the Avengers battled aliens in Central Park. When Castle, a policeman, arrived on the scene, the superhumans could only make feeble apologies for not clearing the park before blasting it to shreds with their struggle. Castle responded by drawing his gun and cutting down the X-Men’s Cyclops and Jubilee.

Sentenced to life in prison, Castle was freed by a group of humans who suffered similar tragedies due to the struggles of superhumans. Now calling himself the Punisher, Castle carries out a cunning, methodical revenge on those he believes stole his family from him.
