This solo series stars the leader of the Champions (Hero). Donald Henderson is a full colonel in the United States Army. He looks like he might be thirty-five years old at best. His father, who runs a huge research and development company, is pushing eighty but looks to be in his late fifties. When Don returned from a thirty-eight year stint in the service, he immediately became curious about his father’s suddenly suspicious behavior. After talking to the employees, Don found out that his father had been dating a mystery woman in the plant’s locked building #5. Don put two and two together and smelled a rat. So as not to jeopardize his relationship with his father, he decided to don a costume and use a friend’s sonic gun invention to get inside of building #5. When he did, he discovered that there was a lot more going on inside than he had ever dreamed.
This title ran five issues, usually including a backup feature starring the psychic detective known as Rose.
