Once he was the world’s greatest and most accomplished wrestler. That was before tragedy struck, when an explosion killed both his girlfriend, Betsy, and his arch-enemy, Sardonicus—and also resulted in Steel Pulse’s mask being permanently fused to his face. After that, wrestling didn’t hold the same allure for him anymore, and he retired from the ring. The sport goes on, however, and several years later Steel Pulse is being visited by some aspiring wrestlers when they witness a televised match in which a monstrously savage wrestler’s mask is torn away…to reveal the horribly disfigured countenance of the resurrected Sardonicus. Not only is he back, but he’s thirsting for vengeance upon Steel Pulse, the man who he believes killed him. It seems that the world-weary wrestler won’t be able to stay retired for much longer.

This action series from True Fiction Publications marries wrestling and heroic adventure without much difficulty.
