Quantum Creep
(Parody, 1993)
Stories and art © their respective creators
Quantum Leap was a surprise television hit, starring a sensitive scientist who, in experimenting with time travel, wound up accidentally sending his consciousness across space and time, alternately inhabiting various people’s bodies (both male and female). He would have to somehow solve that person’s problems. Afterward he would suddenly “leap” into his next location in space and time.
Parody Press’ Quantum Creep is…a little like this. Only this time, the star is Dr. Scumm Bucket who was messing about with time travel in an effort to tape all the episodes of Charlie’s Angels. What follows is one of Parody Press’ finest efforts as Scumm leaps into the bodies of everyone from female impersonators to Admiral Stockdale. Never before have so many in-jokes and TV shows been spoofed. Unlike the too-nice star of Quantum Leap, Dr. Scumm Bucket is a real jerk, which only adds to the hilarity as he winds up inadvertently saving the day countless times.
