Blood and Glory

    (Marvel, 1992)

Captain America has long been the almost untarnished symbol of liberty and justice. Whereas other traditional heroes have turned into grim ’n’ gritty vigilantes or morally ambiguous avengers, Captain America has always tried to represent his country with honesty and integrity.

What happens then, when his government proves unworthy of that trust?

In Blood and Glory, a conspiracy is afoot at the very top levels of government to circumvent the law to advance a secret agenda in Central America. When Cap uncovered clues pointing to this conspiracy, he resolved to follow the trail to its source. To stop him, the conspirators turned to the vigilante known as the Punisher, convincing him that Cap was secretly betraying the country he represented. Not long after, the Punisher would be staring through a gun sight—with Captain America as the target!
