Isn’t it amusing that outside of the major publishers, it’s always the most amateurish and inept creators who insist on their names being cover-featured? Step forward Greg Boone, writer of overwrought rhyming captions and dialogue, and sketch artist. The universally admired monsters are really loveable little tykes who pray before a mission and see off nasty space monsters and a cowboy on his robo-steed. The bizarre decision to utilize rhyming dialogue throughout coupled with the strange morality puts one in mind of Edward Gorey, to whom the reader is directed in order to see rhyming stories about monsters turned out with talent.
