In the near–future, Barbara Gordon is Gotham City’s tough–as–nails police commissioner, millionaire Bruce Wayne is a bitter old man of seventy, and Batman is a wise–cracking teenager named Terry McGinnis. This six–issue mini–series brings “Batman Beyond,” the Kids’ WB animated series, to comics and, like its source material, provides good, old-fashioned Bat-fun—no matter who’s behind the mask. Sure, Terry McGinnis has a different style than his mentor and predecessor Bruce Wayne, but things in Gotham haven’t changed much: the criminals are still a superstitious, cowardly lot, and Batman is there to scare the bejeezus out of them and bring them to justice.
