Jackie Jokers

Originally planned for a revived Harvey Hits series in which Jackie appeared in a blonde wig resembling Harpo Marx, Jackie finally appeared two years later in this eponymous title as a brunette comedian performing comedy shows with his lookalike dad at gigs set up by their agent Ben Booker. The title was not very successful and was abruptly canceled after four issues, despite advertisements appearing promoting issues 5 and 6. This material did not go unpublished and eventually appeared in Jackie’s replacement title, Richie Rich & Jackie Jokers. The addition of Richie worked as the new title lasted a very successful nine years.
