In this futuristic society, the masses of the world are kept entertained by a high speed, dangerous game called Motorball. Only the very best players survive the game, and most of them have sacrificed their humanity in exchange for technobiological enhancements.

Making her way up through the ranks of the motorball leagues, Alita is proving herself to be among the elite of the sport. Her cybernetics are state-of-the-art, and she is the sole practitioner of a lost fighting technique called Panzer Kunst. And though her abilities may make her the next champion, it’s the things she can’t fight that may be her undoing. Alita has no memory of where she got her training, or even her real name, and so she doesn’t even really know her friends from her enemies.
