It’s the summer of 1997, and L.A. is a boiling inferno. Driven mad by the heat, the drug gangs have turned the city into a battleground. Worse yet, it seems that someone, or something new has entered the picture. Suddenly, gang members on both sides are being gruesomely killed, in a manner that suggest super-human, even alien abilities.

Lt. Mike Harrigan and his police team have the sorry task of getting to the bottom of things. And after uncovering numerous slaughters, secret federal task forces, and other assorted villainy, they discover who it is that they’re really chasing: a Predator from another world…an alien big game hunter, in town with a few days to kill.
