Written, illustrated, and edited by Rod Espinosa, The Perilous Winds of Athanon continues the adventures of Grand Duchess Nydia Akarnan of Mathenia. Akarnan is actually a servant, Nalyn, who is abused and has no power. But when the true grand duchess is killed in a ship explosion, Nalyn inherits her royal responsibilities, including raising a new army to defend her homeland.
