This twelve-part limited series takes up where The Eternals left off. In that masterwork by Jack “King” Kirby, we learned of the Celestials, thousand-foot tall beings who conducted genetic experiments on man’s ancestors. These experiments gave birth to both a group of immortals known as the Eternals and to a genetically inferior race of monsters called Deviants. Man’s history had been shaped by these two forces since the dawn of time.

Later, the Celestials came back to check their work. In the end, they judged man worthy, but erased all memory of their ever having visited Earth. It’s at this point that the limited series begins. In the wake of the Celestials, the Deviant/Eternal struggle is about to renew itself, with mankind again caught between them.
