Ms. Mystic (Vol. 2)

    (Continuity, 1993-1994)
™ and ©1993 Neal Adams/Continuity Publishing, Inc.

Neal Adams’ Ms. Mystic returns in this second volume by Adams’ own Continuity Comics. Ms. Mystic was an 18th century mystic who was branded a witch and burned at the stake. Today, she lives anew as Earth’s cosmic protector.

Always, Mystic had been a woman of peace and innocence, sworn never to take life. As this series begins, a hunter named Nim’Raud takes her captive, forcing her to fight tooth and nail in order to survive. In the end, she wins her freedom, but loses her innocence—she had been forced to kill. Mystic seems changed by the experience, capable of fiercely striking out at those who would threaten or blackmail her. That fierceness will be needed with Earth sought as a prize by both the Harssh Galactic Empire and their competitors, the Interlac Empire. Interlac has placed an agent there whose goal is to take over through political power. Before Harssh can invade, they wish to expose and destroy that agent. And only Mystic knows who it is.
