The year is 1877 but American history is not as we know it. An endless Civil War continues to rage unabated because of horrific occurrences that neither the Union nor the Confederacy wants the public to know. Native American tribes have recaptured their territories and defend these lands with spiritual magics. The shadows are deeper, the nights are longer and fear stalks the land like a ravenous beast. Legendary abominations from man’s and other faceless nightmares lurk on the edge of darkness, and strange cults flourish on the high planes. This book is set in a world of the role-playing game Deadlands. It features the adventures of undead gunslinger Ronan Lynch in this alternate American West in which hex-slinging hucksters cast spells with poker cards, mad scientists tinker with the laws of physics, and the dead walk. Death is not necessarily as final as it should be—saddle up hombre!
