A Small Killing
(VG, 1991)
©1991 Alan Moore and Oscar Zarate
Timothy Hole was a Briton who had intended to become an artist, but instead “sold out” and made it big as a New York ad man. His career had really taken off, and recently he had won a big one: a shot at marketing the soft drink “Flite” to Russians starved for the spoils of capitalism.
He was driving back to his apartment after a long night of celebrating when he first saw the boy. The kid was standing in the middle of the road with a mischievous smile on his face, and Timothy had to crash into the railing to avoid him. Next the kid showed up in customs…then on the street, leading Timothy to a dangerous part of town. Each time the boy slipped away, but not before Timothy began to suspect that the boy was trying to get him killed. As it turns out, Timothy was right.
Written by Alan Moore (Watchmen), A Small Killing is a story of small betrayals and big consequences.
