Tales of the Legion

Tales of the Legion began in 1984 as a continuation of The Legion of Super-Heroes (2nd Series). That 30th century team consisted of an ever-changing cast of characters united to battle villains that threaten the galaxy. Membership at the time of the name switch included Sun Boy, Braniac 5 (a descendent of the original Superman villain), and Supergirl. Notably absent is Superboy, a key figure in the earlier Legion titles.

With issue #321, this title switched to an all-reprint format, reprising the Legion of Super-Heroes (3rd Series). This lasted until 1987 when the series concluded with issue #354.
