Odd Tales

™ and © 2003 Steven Vincent

Steven Vincent is an struggling artist and writer who has not let his lack of experience or talent inhibit him from sharing his admittedly amateurish efforts with anyone who will take a chance on his titles. But if one’s point of view is sufficiently droll, talent isn’t always important; and of course, talent comes in many forms, and the ability to be self–deprecating requires a certain measure of talent. Vincent, who also produces Spaztic Colon, (a title that was sold to get beer money), has released several issues of the appropriately–named Odd Tales. Stories titled, “Devilboy in the Land of Love,” “The Boy Who Ate the World,” and “The Snow Prince,” a tale of greed and fratricide, reveal an absurd and twisted sensibility that Vincent seems anxious to communicate.
