Lars of Mars 3-D

Back in 1951, Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel and future Silver Age artist extraordinaire Murphy Anderson came up with a new super-hero, Lars of Mars. The series was a masterpiece of schlock 1950s sci-fi so perfectly guileless, innocent, and fun that in 1987, Eclipse reprinted every episode— in 3-D, no less—for post-modern audiences to enjoy all over again.

Lars is an interplanetary agent sent to Earth to battle injustice. He’s disguised as a television actor portraying an imaginary super-hero—“Lars of Mars!” No one suspects that he really does have super-powers, until he’s forced to reveal himself to save his pretty producer from a gang of terrorists that try to take over the TV station.

Lars of Mars comes with a pair of 3-D glasses to help readers enjoy every two-fisted, Commie-bating, jet-streaming panel.
