DC Sampler

During the mid-1980s, DC felt the need to let everyone know what they were doing. This meant getting short, one to three page descriptions and examples into the hands of comic book readers so they could get a closer look at new titles and other revitalized series. Thus, the DC Samplers were sent to shops all over as free give-aways. Combined with short tie-in’s by Fred Hembeck, these books gave readers a brief look at what was happening in DC titles that they normally wouldn’t have been aware of.
