Little Elvia was the daughter of a Mexican woman and her abusive American husband. When her father would beat up her mother, Elvia would escape into the world of fantasy found in books like Lord of the Rings. Mercifully, her mother eventually found the courage to leave, taking refuge in the women’s shelter, Halo House. It was there that Elvia’s Ultra powers manifested themselves, letting her transform from a scared little girl into an fierce woman avenger named Elven.

In effect, Elven was similar to Prime in that behind their super-powerful adult bodies are frightened children. The two shared a common origin in the experiments of Doctor Gross, and their “Ultra bodies” disintegrate when they’re worn out, fading into a pool of ooze. In a way, Elven is the closest thing Prime ever had to a little sister, although Elven’s childhood was far more traumatic than Prime’s.
