Career Girl Romances

The 1960s saw women making prominent places for themselves in the work-force. Remember, TV gave us a situation comedy, “That Girl,” based on that very “career girl” concept. So, it only seems fitting that there would have been a comic book devoted to romances on the job, and Charlton’s Career Girl Romances was that comic book. Like most titles in this genre, this one is high on melodrama, but the women at the center of the stories are high-profile artists, executive assistants, and professional photographers…an idea that was just beginning to catch on at the time.
