After decades as a favorite kids’ comic, Richie Rich made it to the big screen in early 1995. The movie starred Home Alone’s Macauley Culkin as Richie, son of Richard and Regina Rich, the two richest people in the world. Richie had everything a kid could ask for and more: devoted parents, a personal staff, and his own amusement park. Unfortunately, his life of privilege had a way of isolating him from other kids his own age, making for some lonely times when his parents had to travel.

With some help from his loyal butler Cadbury, Richie finally got a chance to meet kids from the neighborhood and quickly won them over with his kindness. He’d soon need their help, too, since his father’s business rivals were plotting to kill Richie’s parents and steal their fortune.

This one-shot movie adaptation retains the charm and cartoon art style of Harvey’s Richie Rich comics.
