This one-shot is part of a multimillion-dollar giveaway by DC and the Cartoon Network, designed to boost comic book sales. And unlike most modern-day giveaways, it’s a lot of fun! In the first tale, Cow and Chicken learn that honesty is the best policy at the Inferno Scrap Metal yard owned by Señor Diablo. Next, a wordless Scooby-Doo story features a criminal who is enamored of lovely Daphne. In a third story, Mr. Spacely intends to replace George Jetson with a robot that looks and acts like him—the real merriment begins when “Robogeorge” assumes George Jetson’s life for a day. Blessed with simplicity of pace, uncomplicated artwork, and entirely devoid of angst and grit, each story has its own merits. Even though this book is intended for younger readers, it’s a likeable read for adults as well.
