This heady mix of ghetto kids, gangster rap battles and science fiction is a unique futuristic vision of America’s inner cities. The brothers Davis perform admirably here, with a fresh look at the forgotten kids of America—those struggling on the mean streets to survive, make a name for themselves, and carve out their own little piece of the world. With renegade cyborg cops and magical rappers, there’s a lot here to take in, but the creators do a nice job of recapping issues at the beginning of the various chapters of their story. Hip–hop meets futurism!
