Pixies

The Pixies inhabit a weird fairytale microverse where miniature people are threatened by bugs, birds, plants and wildlife that seem, in proportion, gigantic. The Mighty Atom is the champion of this world, a pint-sized hero with super strength, the ability to fly, and even a secret identity. The feature is drawn in a cartoonish, kid-friendly style—almost funny-animal—but the content is a cross between fairy-tale fantasy and super heroics. The tone is always light and the concept had strong promise, but Magazine Enterprises never got 100% behind their comic line and the title folded in the late 40s.
