Tongue Lash, a two-issue mini-series from Dark Horse by Randy and Jean-Marc Lofficier and Dave Taylor, is a sexually-charged story of bizarre desires, set in a lush fantasy world that combines elements of Egyptian and Mayan mythology, science fiction, and sado-masochism.

The visual look of Tongue Lash dominates the story. Taylor’s art is awesome in its detail—a sort of art nouveau style crossed with Moebius—and rich colors fill spaces usually inked in black, giving each panel startling clarity and contrast. The plot involves a power struggle between groups of leather-masked men, bird-headed gods, and scantily clad women, and provides many opportunities for the playing-out of unusual sexual scenarios.
