Sentry/Fantastic Four

    (Marvel, 2001)
™ and ©2001 Marvel Characters, Inc.

Years ago, the quintessential super-hero known as the Sentry mysteriously vanished, along with all memory and evidence of his having existed at all. In 2001, in Sentry vs. the Void, the hero is retroactively re-inserted into Marvel’s continuity. Unfortunately, Sentry’s most powerful enemy has also returned. Assembling Earth’s mightiest super-heroes, the legendary hero prepares for what many think is a doomed confrontation with the Void.

As they wait, Reed Richards reminisces about the man and hero he once considered his very best friend. But Reed’s slowly returning memories are tainted by feelings of guilt. Guilt, because as leader of the Fantastic Four, he may have cost the world its greatest champion. Guilt, because as one of the most brilliant men in the world, he still couldn’t think of any other way. Guilt, because he, all too human, was the type of man who could betray a friend.
