Originating from 2000 A.D.’s dystopian Judge Dredd franchise, Cassandra Anderson serves in the elite Psi Division, a psychic corps of the Mega-City One’s Justice Department. Empowered to act when necessary as judge, jury and executioner, Anderson uses her telepathic gifts to fight paranormal threats and extra-dimensional evil in her post-nuclear megalopolis. Anderson’s superiors alternately praise her effectiveness and scorn her tendency to bend the rules.

This volume collects three Judge Anderson tales all of which first appeared as serials in the pages of 2000 A.D. The first storyline, “Four Dark Judges”, reprints Anderson’s adventures from issues #416-427 where her ghastly nemesis Judge Death manipulates her into restoring Death and his cohort to power. The second storyline, “The Possessed” taken from issues #468-478, pits Anderson against a demonic death-cult. “Hour of the Wolf” from issues #520-531 details a dreaded assassin’s jail break which ends in a cliffhanger.

John Wagner, Brian Bolland and Alan Grant get key credit for creating and developing the Judge Anderson character. Some 2000 A.D. cover art and two pages of pin-up art featuring Judge Anderson are included here as well.
